Forecast for snow includes Mt. Shasta Ski Park

After a rainy Friday at lower elevations, Mt. Shasta was wearing a covering a white Saturday morning, Nov. 4, and more snow is on the way, according to a National Weather Service Winter Weather Advisory.

The Advisory is in effect for areas above 3,500 feet in parts of Siskiyou and Modoc counties from 11 p.m. Saturday to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Areas included in the Advisory are the Mt. Shasta Ski Park, a portion of Interstate 5 near Siskiyou Summit and Highway 89 near, but not including, the town of McCloud.

The forecast calls for snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches with localized amounts up to 13 inches.
